The Employment Law team provides services to employers and employees.
Our philosophy is that employment relations are so valuable to the economy of the country that it is the primary responsibility of both employer and employee to respect each other's rights and responsibilities. Business need their personnel to be able to grow. In much the same way, in the current atmosphere of critical economic hardships, employees need to retain their positions.
It is therefore on this basis that we examine each employment litigation instruction as an instruction to firstly assist in mediation. It is only after a clear failure that we consider the isue of a claim against the one party or the other.
Our primary service to employers consists in advising on implementing appropriate employment policies, procedures and programmes.
As part of our conflict prevention measures, we spend a considerable time advising on grievance and disciplinary procedures.
When positions are irreconciliable fails, we deal with:
- Claims for dismissal
- Claims for breach of contract
- Claims of discrimination
- Claims of redundancy
- Claims in relation to equal pay and deduction of wages
- Working time regulations issues
- Maternity/parental issues concerning your employment
